The Discovering and Using the Advanced Technology in Informix® Dynamic Server 11 Proof of Technology (PoT) provides a hands-on experience for those needing to understand and use many of the new and advanced features in this release of the data server. Participants will gain an appreciation for the MACH-11 technology and how it can be used to create an availability solution that covers server, disk, and network or instance failure. Additional topics will include the modular and silent installation process, advanced security features such as Label Based Access Control (LBAC), security procedures, the SQL-based administration API and several of the newly bundled DataBlades which provide for much easier and richer application development. Please be aware that many of the older versions of IDS are no longer supported and that IDS 11 also has a number of flexible / cost-effective licensing options.
